Your LLCC cycling kit is engineered from high-performance technical fabrics designed to keep you comfortable and fast. To ensure longevity and maintain the quality of your gear, proper care is essential. Please follow these guidelines to keep your kit looking and feeling its best.
Washing instructions
We recommend washing your cycling kit immediately after every ride to prevent bacteria buildup and fabric degradation from sweat.
- Zip it up: Always close all zippers and fasteners before washing to prevent them from snagging on other fabrics.
- Inside out: Wash all bibs, shorts, and jerseys inside out. This protects logos, prints, and the fabric surface.
- Cool wash: Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F) or below. High heat can damage the elasticity of the fabric.
- Use mild detergent: Use a small amount of liquid detergent.
- No softeners: Never use fabric softeners, bleach, or strong stain removers. These can clog the breathable pores of the fabric and damage the moisture-wicking properties.
- Protect delicate items: We highly recommend using a laundry wash bag for bib shorts and any items with Velcro (like gloves) to prevent abrasion during the spin cycle.
Drying & storage
- Line dry only: Hang your kit to dry in a well-ventilated area.
- Avoid direct sunlight: Dry your garments in the shade. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light while drying can fade colours and degrade the elastane fibres.
- No tumble drying: Do not tumble dry. The intense heat will destroy the rubber grippers and elasticity of the fabric.
- Do not iron: Technical fabrics should never be ironed.
Pro tips for longevity
- Velcro warning: Velcro is the number one enemy of cycling kit. Always wash gloves separately or in a dedicated wash bag. Contact with Velcro can cause instant pilling and damage to jersey fabrics.
- Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen and allow it to dry before putting on your kit. Some sunscreens contain chemicals that can stain fabrics (especially white jerseys) or degrade leg grippers.
- Avoid abrasion: Be mindful of rough surfaces (brick walls, concrete benches, or embroidered saddles) which can cause pilling or snagging.
Warranty policy
We stand behind the quality of our products. Our warranty covers items against manufacturing defects for a reasonable period from the date of purchase.
What is covered
- Manufacturing defects affecting the structural integrity of the garment (e.g., stitching failures, zipper malfunctions, chamois issues).
What is not covered (exclusions)
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by general wear and tear or improper care, including:
- Damage from crashing or accidents (rips, tears, road rash).
- Abrasion marks or pilling caused by contact with Velcro, saddle bags, or rough objects.
- Fabric degradation caused by improper washing (hot water, tumble drying, bleach).
- Fading of colours due to prolonged UV exposure.
- Staining or damage caused by sunscreens, oils, or harsh chemicals.
- Items that have been altered or modified.
